Keiko Mukai

Keiko began her Reiki practice in August 2020. She completed her First and Second Degree Reiki training at the SF Reiki Center in 2020 and 2021, and in early 2023, she graduated from the Certified Reiki Practitioner Program with over 200 hours of practice. Since April 2023, she has been practicing as a Reiki practitioner at SF Reiki Center, where she offers private in-person sessions as well as distance and online sessions.

Why Reiki?
Reiki has been a transformative practice for Keiko, helping her cultivate spiritual growth and recognize the importance of balance in the physical, emotional, and mental aspects of life. She discovered that Reiki enables her to serve others by channeling universal life energy. Learning under Reiki Master Christopher Tellez and mentor Ann Massie has been instrumental in developing her skills, experience, and confidence as a practitioner.

Background
Originally from Japan, Keiko has lived in Washington State, Boston, New York, Santa Barbara, and San Francisco. She earned her degree in Business Hospitality Management from Washington State University and worked in the dynamic hospitality field for over 10 years. Her love of working with people, combined with her passion for natural healing, wellness, and inner harmony, naturally guided her toward Reiki.

Clients & Focus
Keiko has supported clients navigating recovery from illness, anxiety, high stress, and depression, as well as those processing trauma and grief. She also works with individuals seeking inner growth, physical health, balance, and deeper spirituality. Her goal is to hold a safe, compassionate space where each client can restore harmony and reconnect with their true self.

Franki R. Mukai

With life experience shaped by time spent living in Mexico, Japan, New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Santa Barbara, and San Francisco, Frank is on a journey of remembrance, returning to a life of purpose, gratitude, and service. He is committed to helping others heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves on this Earth. He deepens his practice by studying with teachers, elders, healers, and wisdom keepers across North, Central, and South America, as well as Asia, keeping ancient healing traditions alive and relevant.

In 2017, while in the rainforest of South America, Frank was reminded that his true path was simple, rooted, and ancient. This awareness eventually became a call to reconnect with the wisdom we all carry and to honor the ways of our ancestors.

In 2018, while in Central America, he connected with elders whose healing teachings emphasized truth, self-honesty, spiritual alignment, releasing old patterns, ancestral wisdom, and living with grounded clarity and purpose.

In 2021, he met his spiritual teacher and began learning and deepening his understanding, eventually assisting others on their path of remembrance and healing.

In 2022, Frank’s Reiki journey began under Reiki Master Christopher Tellez, the founder of the SF Reiki Center. He completed his First and Second Degree Reiki certifications, and in 2023, became a Certified Reiki Practitioner. To honor the roots of his practice, he visited Mount Kurama in Kyoto, Japan, the birthplace of Reiki as taught by Dr. Mikao Usui, and paid homage at Miss Hawayo Takata’s first Reiki clinic in Hilo, Hawaii.

In 2023, he completed a 52-week initiation with ancestral teachers, focusing on inner work experience and personal development.

In 2024, he completed the SoundMind Institute’s 12-month Facilitator Certification Program, led by Dr. Hannah McLane, preparing him to hold space and support others on their healing journeys.

In 2025, he began studying the Emotion Code program, a holistic energy healing modality developed by Dr. Bradley Nelson.

Frank supports clients navigating stress, anxiety, depression, fear, and major life transitions, including those recovering from illness or seeking clarity and balance. He offers private sessions both in person and online. He is a Marine veteran, a Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) provider, and is fluent in Spanish.

Kiki Mukai

Kiki joined our team in December 2022. She is our beloved feline companion and an intuitive presence in our Reiki practice. Sensitive, calm, and deeply attuned to energy, Kiki offers her quiet support and natural healing presence. Animals are naturally receptive to Reiki, and assist us in simply holding space with her grounded energy. Ki is a Japanese term for “Life Force”.

Her presence reminds us of the power of stillness, trust, and unconditional love. There’s a peaceful energy that fills the room when Kiki is around. She is a cherished member of our home and a beautiful example of the connection between humans, animals, and the universal life force that Reiki channels.

Whether curled up nearby or softly observing from a distance, Kiki’s role is simple but profound: she helps us feel safe, seen, and supported, just as we are.
